The Luxury Travel Book Ltd

Villa Iano is an exceptionally beautiful property situated just outside the picturesque village of Iano, dating back to Etruscan times. The larger centre of Montaione, with its tempting Friday food market is close by, and the location is also convenient for visiting the exquisite Tuscan hill town of San Gimignano. For golf enthusiasts, Castelfalfi with its 27 hole golf course (offering 10% discount to guests at the villa) is just 7.5 kms away.

The accommodation here comprises two separate three bedroom apartments, connected by a door when there is full occupancy.  The apartments can also be rented separately out of high season for smaller groups. In the garden, there is a swimming pool and a dining gazebo, with outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and barbecue. Another gazebo by the pool has gym equipment and a table football. There is also table tennis, and six mountain bikes for use by guests, as well as access to a small wine cellar.

Villa Buonconvento is in a completely different location in Southern Tuscany, close to the medieval walled town of Buonconvento, and just a 15 minute drive from Montalcino, famous for its Brunello vineyards.  Originally commissioned by the illustrious Chigi family and designed by the renowned Sienese architect Baldassare Tommaso Peruzzi (1481 – 1536), the villa has been extended and enhanced over the centuries, and has recently undergone a complete restoration while remaining faithful to the original design.

The grounds, lovely by day, and beautifully lit with candles, fire pits and other outdoor lighting at night, include a magnificent, chlorine-free travertine infinity pool, with views over the estate's private lake. Throughout the grounds there are many beautiful features, including the Italianate gardens at the front of the house, and the numerous lovely spots from where the incredible views can be enjoyed. There is also a full sized bocce court. Inside, there are wonderful areas for entertaining, as well as private terraces and smaller rooms to find peace and quiet. Across the courtyard is in impressive entertaining space, perfect for parties and entertaining, including a media room, bar area and a full size snooker table.

Probably the most sought after holiday area in Tuscany is Chianti, and our villa Badia di Passignano, situated by the hamlet of the same name, is just 8 kms from Greve in Chianti, known as the heart of the Chianti wine region.  Surrounded by 10 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and gardens, the house dates back to the 13th century, and is surrounded by a veranda on two sides from where there are uninterrupted views over the countryside.

The interior of the house is an appealing blend of comfort and elegance. Meals can be enjoyed in the large dining room or, for more informal meals, there is the fully equipped and welcoming kitchen, and also a dining "al fresco" option on the veranda in the summer. The beautiful surrounding gardens offer many options for guests – sunbathing by the beautiful stone-lined pool, or reading in a quiet shaded spot, or tennis on the property's astroturf tennis court.  Breakfast and dinner service is provided at this villa, and ... of course ... Chianti wine tastings/tours can be arranged!
