This Year Is Shaping Up to Be Huge… Epic… Jam-Packed, and We've Got Our Suitcases Ready

This year is shaping up to be huge… epic… jam-packed, and we've got our suitcases ready. That's why in the 59th issue of get lost Magazine, we've found some of the most amazing trips, coolest trends and newest openings we expect to see in 2019.

On sale now, get lost explores the destinations we think travellers should add to their list this year. From some of the 2019's movers and shakers, to the hottest destinations, consider this issue your must-do travel guide.

Did you know about the latest mission to a new hotel opening in space? Ever heard of Rosario Islands? Fancy dining in an ice cave? Or maybe you'd prefer to jump on the latest trends in wellness travel?  Oh, and how could we forget about the coolest new venue to open in Nashville… And that's just the beginning. This issue highlights 32 experiences we think you just can't miss this year.

“Unfortunately, we don't have access to a working crystal ball, but we have noticed the popularity increase in a few trends over the last 12 months and we expect some of them, like extreme dining, to reach new heights this year,” said Anna Kantilaftas, get lost Editor.

“We've also searched for some new openings that are set for an early to mid year launch that we think are really exciting. What we found most interesting, though, is the race to space. We've seen a few companies looking to launch an expedition or space hotel opening in the coming years, some of which say bookings open in 2019 – I guess you can say, 'watch this space'.”

Of course, it's not just New Year banter. We also jump on the Aranui 5, a half cruise half cargo ship, in a bid to reach the far-flung Marquesas Islands, come face-to-tail with a leatherback turtle in the east coast of Costa Rica, stand-up paddle board through Norway in search of the midnight sun and get a whole new perspective of New York City. Plus, we share stories from Spain, Taiwan, Myanmar, Toronto and Australia's Kakadu National Park.

Issue 59 of get lost is on sale now in newsagents and online from Apple Newsstand and Amazon.
