In April 2016, a brand-new sophisticated global gay travel experience, TropOut, will head to Thailand for its grand unveiling. TropOut will draw together likeminded travellers from all over the world in a bid to promote friendly, unguarded and refined travel experiences for all gay people.
Up to 1100 discerning travellers will flock to Bang Tao Beach in Thailand's balmy southern Phuket, where idyllic five-star Angsana Laguna Phuket will play host to the chic travel experience. The weeklong holiday will include six nights' accommodation at Angsana Resort, entertainment, transfers and an array of other optional add-ons.
TropOut guests will also be offered exclusive access to Xana Beach Club, where the trendy tunes of Café del Mar will suffuse the air, cocktails will flow freely and guests can mingle with their likeminded counterparts. Plus, they will be to access a dedicated TropOut Hub at the divine Nikki Beach Club. It's the ultimate arena for relaxation, personal Zen time and a sophisticated party.
Offering a point of difference for gay travellers, TropOut's aim is to inspire a comfortable, relaxed and gentrified travel experience, which was something lacking in gay travel.
“Gay travellers want a travel experience that is more than just a party. No travel experience is truly complete without cultural discovery and personal rejuvenation. Having fun is definitely important, and TropOut will deliver that in abundance, but in a comfortable and sophisticated way. But TropOut is not just about the party” said founding director, Aaron Zoanetti.
During TropOut, guests can also experience Thailand's tantalising culture and sights by attending a number of optional excursions such as island tours, cooking classes and spa treatments. And as the afternoon turns to dusk, the atmosphere will electrify as an array of entertainment and the beats of international DJ's take the party to another level.
Prior to and after TropOut, guests will have the option to join guided small group journeys with fellow TropOut guests to further uncover and experience the unique culture of Thailand.
TropOut is for couples, groups of friends and solo travellers looking for a fun and refined gay travel experience in a tropical paradise.
A 6 night package starts from USD$1295 per person, twin share and includes:
- Six nights' five-star accommodation at Angsana Resort, exclusive to TropOut

About Aaron Zoanetti
Director and Founder
An accomplished lawyer and successful entrepreneur, Aaron Zoanetti fused his business-minded flair with his love of travel to found TropOut, a sophisticated gay festival for likeminded people looking for a friendly getaway.
Aaron's keen passion for travel and sport led him to partake in soccer supporter networks at a local and national level, where he joined the board of supporters group, The Green and Gold Army (GGArmy) in 2006.
It was here Aaron noticed a large gap in group sports travel products and was integral to the development of GGArmy's travel business. The GGArmy has since conducted numerous large-scale group travel programs for Socceroos supporters to destinations including South Africa, Thailand and Brazil. Aaron project managed GGArmy's world cup travel program for Brazil 2014, which saw the group manage the travel arrangements for over 500 Australians.
Using his extensive group travel experience and strategic skills as a leverage, Aaron saw an opportunity in the market for a sophisticated gay festival, which spurred his inception of TropOut, a week-long getaway in an idyllic location where every traveller can express themselves freely and enjoy a safe, relaxed party environment with like-minded people.
Aaron has recently foregone his law career and moved to London and take the TropOut brand to Europe.
About Bryce Carroll
Director
Hailing from an accomplished real estate background, Bryce Carroll joined the property industry in 2001 and began his career at Carroll McKeddie. During this time, Bryce built an esteemed operation that focused almost exclusively on the listing and sale of off-the-plan properties in both large and small developments in the Melbourne area.
Now immersed entirely in property development, Bryce's core business sees him personally overseeing the development of dozens of projects simultaneously, including houses, townhouses and multi-level apartment developments.
His business-minded nature and unabashed love of travel saw Bryce take part as a major investor and founding director of TropOut, together with Aaron Zoanetti. Bryce's core responsibilities for TropOut are strategic planning and decision-making, appointing consultants and introducing investors.
Although not gay himself, Bryce's firm belief that anyone and everyone has the right to enjoy fun and comfortable travel experiences led him to snatch up a leading role in what's estimated to become one of the world's biggest gay travel experiences.
He's also a keen surfer, water-skier and lover of Australian Rules Football.
Jamie Hutchinson
Customer Experience Manager
A love of travel has always been in Jamie's blood. Raised in the small South Australian town of Port Germein, Jamie left the regional hub for the tropical isles of Queensland's Whitsundays after completing secondary school. Jamie spent 12 months in the idyllic location where he learnt the trade of hotel management, but South Australia beckoned him back eventually. Jamie spent the next four years in his hometown where he was heavily involved in community activity and played a range of sports including AFL, cricket and tennis.
Being a young gay man living in a small country town had its challenges, but Jamie built a strong resilience and promptly learnt how to manage difficult situations. His loving family and friends were continuously supportive, which ensured his 'coming out' experience was a positive one.
It was these challenging experiences that led Jamie on a mission to help others and change lives. Again on the move, Jamie relocated to Adelaide where he commenced a 10-year career helping disadvantaged people in the community-housing sector.
During this time, Jamie honed his skills and gained invaluable knowledge in customer service, project management and community development fields. It is these skills that Jamie will finesse as Customer Experience Manager of TropOut.
