The Windsor to Offer its 5 Millionth Guest a Luxurious Reward in the Countdown to a Historic Moment for Melbourne's Grand Dame of 130 Years

The Hotel Windsor

The Windsor, Australia's most cherished and last remaining Grand hotel, has begun its countdown to find its 5 millionth guest.

The lucky guest who actually lets The Windsor reach this milestone will be rewarded with five nights for two in the hotel's Royal Suite with the use of a dedicated butler for the stay and a private dinner party for six.

CEO and General Manager David Perry said, "We cannot think of another hotel in Australia that would have welcomed 5 million guests to the hotel's rooms and suites - that's more guests than the current population of New Zealand. "

"We are unique in Australia with The Windsor being one of the world's most established Grand hotels from the Victorian era, pre-dating the Savoy in London, the Ritz in Paris, The Plaza and Waldorf Astoria in New York and Raffles in Singapore".

In order to qualify, guests are required to book online via www.thehotelwindsor.com.au and stay from now until 31st August 2013.  The 5 millionth guest will be announced  on 1st September 2013.

Established in 1883, The Windsor has a rich and colourful history and was the chosen establishment for the drafting of the Australian Constitution. It has been the haunt of a distinguished list of dignitaries and celebrities since opening its doors in 1883 and notable past and present guests include Katharine Hepburn, Sir Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, Meryl Streep, Barry Humphries, Sir Robert Menzies, Paul Keating and Sir Richard Branson.
