Italian-themed carnival running from April 25 to May 26
(Macao, April 15, 2013) - The Venetian® Macao is hosting its third annual carnival celebration at The Venetian lagoon. Supported by the Macau Government Tourist Office, the Italian-themed Venetian Carnevale offers visitors a fun-filled month-long event from April 25 to May 26. The event spectacular includes the Carnevale Extravaganza, which runs from April 25 to May 5, and the Macau Wine and Dine Festival 2013 from May 23 to 26.
The Venetian lagoon will be the focus of everything Italian for the Carnevale Extravaganza - a spectacular festival offering action-packed fun for the family with some of the world's most exciting acts, fusing theatre, dance, music and circus. Visitors to The Venetian Macao can expect to be wowed by everything from the carousel and game booths, to kids' activities and signature Streetmosphere™ entertainment. Hotel guests will be pleasantly surprised by a special gift of Venetian-styled masks in their rooms, enabling them to join the Carnevale in proper Italian-costumed style. The Venetian Carnevale is an event not to be missed, celebrating classic Italian festivities and featuring new experiences, entertainment, art, music and wine.

The Macau Wine and Dine Festival 2013 is organised by The Wine Society of Macau, and runs from May 23 to 26 in the lagoon area of The Venetian Macao, and features:

Visitors will have the opportunity to sample wines from different countries in a relaxing atmosphere. Whether a novice or a wine aficionado, each guest will feel welcome. For those new to the world of wines, experienced staff will be on hand to teach the basics. Connoisseurs will enjoy discussing the finer points of wine with the experts on-hand.
