The Upper House, Swire Hotels new Hong Kong hotel, is equipped with the latest technology to keep guests connected and provide streamlined guest services throughout the hotel.
Designed as a luxurious home away from home, The Upper House is conscious of making a positive difference to the environment by, among other initiatives, remaining as paperless as possible. A unique iPod-touch is provided in each of the 117 guest rooms and suites offering a comprehensive source for all hotel information, room service, local area information, weather, news and feedback forms at the touch of a screen, replacing printed hotel directories.
Upon arrival at the intimate hotel in Pacific Place, guests are welcomed by a paperless arrival experience allowing guests to check in anywhere in the hotel with a member of the Guest Experience team using one of four designated tablet PCs containing all the guest information and preferences.
The one stop Guest Experience team replaces the traditional hotel reception counters and is able to provide services such as concierge, guest relations, bell and cashiering at any location throughout the hotel using the portable PCs. Prior to arrival, all guests are contacted by a designated member of the team who ensures all requirements and preferences are confirmed in time for arrival. This WiFi has uninterrupted connection all the way from the airport to the hotel.
Express departure is a feature that enables guests to leave without the usual formalities. Copies of guest bills along with final credit card settlement, is sent via email on the day of departure.
The Upper House is aware of the importance in this digital age to keep guests connected and provides complimentary wired and wireless high speed internet in guest rooms and public areas.
In keeping with the hotels principles to reduce guests carbon footprints whilst remaining connected at all times, the hotels energy saving Lexus RX450H hybrid cars are equipped with complimentary WiFi on board, ideal for business and leisure travellers on the move.
Swire Hotels has given great consideration to the preferences of our guests and the effect our practices have on the environment. By utilising the most up to date technology, The Upper House is able to streamline guest arrival and departure experiences, offer vital connectivity both in and out of the hotel and keep guests up to date with the latest hotel and destination news on the in-room iPod-touch whilst eliminating the need for unnecessary paper waste and carbon emissions, said Dean Winter, General Manager of The Upper House
An exclusive two-nights-for-one offer is launched for the first 90 days after opening, with rates starting from HK$3,388 for a 730sq ft Island View Studio 70.
