Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa has introduced a new spa and fitness programme for their male guests, as it becomes clear that there is an increasing demand for experts to be on hand to help them wind down and switch off from their busy lives. Overrun with gadgets and 24-hour access to the office, the Spa and Fitness team at Maradiva guarantee to alleviate the first 2-3 days of agitation as male guests, in particular wean themselves off the daily grind and adrenalin rush of work!
Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa has combined deep muscular massages and rejuvenating cooling massages with genuine Ayurvedic treatments from professionally trained therapists. Endurance training with their specialist personal trainers, to strengthen joints and tendons, regulate blood pressure, overcome tiredness and stress will be included in a tailored programme.
The Indian trained Ayurvedic doctor, Dr Aadarsh Amat will give an individual consultation to discuss each guest’s mental and physical state before prescribing an appropriate treatment programme to meet their immediate needs. If desired, a nutritional diet plan will also be devised by the Spa chef.
Designed by the owner of Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa, Sanjiv Ramdanee, a gym and fitness enthusiast himself, he was keen to create a space worthy of any major urban gym frequented by his guests when at home. State of the art fitness facilities are on offer with one of the most impressive cardio studios in any resort worldwide and a large dedicated area for weights. Personal trainers will provide one-to-one sessions during a guest’s stay and will also include stretching, yoga and calm breathing.
The ideal all-rounder treatment to kick-start the ‘new you’ would be the Abhyanga, which soaks the body in a medicated herbal oil. Proven to bring alertness during the day, allow a good night’s sleep and reduce stress levels, daily aches and pains, this treatment gives a glowing skin and most importantly helps to build immunity for the winter months back in the UK. Tejas is a signature two-hour deep stimulating fusion muscular massage with the application of therapeutic Indian herbs, leaving the body re-aligned and the mind re-focused. The 90-minute Njavara Kizhi is a rejuvenating cooling massage with special rice bags processed with milk to tone muscles and nourish the body.
Guests will have plenty of time to relax on the beach, play on full sized tennis courts or escape at one of the discreet pools nestled in each and every villa's private garden.
