San Francisco, California. – Westfield San Francisco Centre is thrilled to continue the holiday tradition with the second annual 3-D light spectacular, Illuminique Under the Dome. A magical, animated, musical story set in a 19th Century toymaker’s workshop, Illuminique Under the Domedelights visitors of all ages. A lively cast of holiday characters including sugar plum fairies, toy soldiers, and gingerbread men are brought to life as they twirl, drum, and dance to holiday melodies and spread holiday cheer. The 2012 edition of Illuminique Under the Dome, presented by Bay Area Mini, is six minutes long – double the length of the original.

            The show, which debuted Thursday, November 15, 2012, is projected on the Centre’s majestic 102-foot wide dome nightly through Monday, December 31. Located on Level 4 Under The Dome, the show begins at 5 pm and runs every half hour until the Centre closes. Monday through Saturday, the last show is at 8 pm. On Sunday, the last show is at 6:30 pm.

            San Francisco Ballet dancers make a special appearance at Westfield San Francisco Centre on Saturday, December 1 from 5 – 6 pm. Holiday shoppers and aspiring ballerinas can meet the dancers, take photos, receive autographed posters, and shop for unique holiday merchandise.

            The historic dome is more than 11,000 square feet – nearly three times the size of a standard IMAX screen – creating an extraordinary experience. The show was created by San Francisco-based creative technology studio Obscura Digital, the inventor of breathtaking building projections at the Sydney Opera House in Australia, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

China (opening Fall 2012) or feast on a decadent dessert at the new La Boulange du Dome.
