Specialist luxury in-bound tour company The Tailor have announced the appointment of Mark Chipperfield as its in-house media manager. Mark, a travel writer with over 20 years experience, will be responsible for The Tailor's social media, online content and public relations activities.

Drew Kluska, managing director of The Tailor, said the appointment was part of the Adelaide-based company's ongoing commitment to better communicate with its extensive customer base – and travel partners.

“I'm very excited to have Mark on board,” he says. “Apart from creating fantastic content for our website and various social media platforms, Mark will be working with our in-house film maker Luke Pike to make compelling videos about our astonishing destinations.”

Founded in 1998, The Tailor is Australia's most respected bespoke travel operator with a portfolio of unique properties and specialist outdoor adventures across the continent. Kluska, who began his career in East Africa, pioneered the concept of safari-style luxury in Australia.

“Over the past two decades we've built an incredible relationship with station owners, guides, hoteliers and tour companies around the country,” says Kluska. “Thanks to video and social media we can now tell their stories in a way which was simply not possible before.”

Having admired The Tailor for many years, Mark Chipperfield says he is delighted to join the team in Adelaide and would dedicate himself to showcasing its superb travel experiences to a global audience.
