THE STEAK HOUSE winebar + grill is hosting a special wine dinner on Tuesday, July 2nd showcasing some of the finest wines from celebrated Napa Valley winemaker, Heidi P. Barrett.
Barrett, named the “First Lady of Wine” by wine expert Robert Parker, is the winemaker of “cult wines” for Screaming Eagle, Grace Family and Dalla Valle, amongst others.
Several of her wines have been awarded 100 points by Robert Parker.
The July 2nd dinner will showcase four different Heidi Barrett wines and 7 vintages, paired with a 4-course menu created by STEAK HOUSE Chef Calvin Choi featuring Pan-seared Scottish Salmon & Rilettes with Orange Cream; Duck Foie Gras Terrine with Black Truffle Jus; Charcoal Grilled US Beef Striploin with Gratin Potatoes & Baby Vegetables; and for dessert, Fourme d’Ambert Cheese with Honey.

John Schwartz, owner of Amuse Bouche, Vin Perdu and Au Sommet (all wines for which Heidi P. Barrett is winemaker) and Ashlee Hallengreen (the wineries’ ambassador) will personally be in Hong Kong to introduce their wines.
About Heidi P. Barrett Wines
Many of Heidi Barrett’s wines have gained ‘Cult Wine” status, a term born in Napa Valley that refers to wines with limited production, usually fewer than 600 cases per year, that have attained high ratings with scores of 90 – 100. These wines are chased by collectors and are mainly for investment rather than consumption.
Four of Heidi’s wines have received perfect scores of 100 points from Robert Parker.
A 6-liter bottle of her 1992 SE set a world’s record for the highest price ever paid for a single bottle of wine at the 2000 Napa Valley Wine Auction, when it sold for US$500,000!
