The Star Welcomes Travel and Tourism Specialist Diane Glasson as Director of PR and Communications

The Star, Sydney has welcomed well known travel and tourism industry professional, Diane Glasson to the position of Director of PR and Communications.

 

Diane brings to the role a wealth of experience from senior communications roles within Destination NSW and Tourism Australia and throughout her career, has been responsible for the development and execution of public relations strategies to leverage many of Australia's largest events including VIVID Sydney, Sydney International Food Festival, World Youth Day, APEC and The Oprah Winfrey Show visit.

 

Diane's strategic forethought and 20 year history in the tourism, hospitality and events industry will enable The Star to firmly cement its position in the Sydney market as the only integrated resort and a tourism destination in its own right. Diane explains her excitement for joining The Star team,

"2013 has been a year of significant milestones for The Star, with the opening of the Event Centre and the recent unveiling of Sky Terrace firmly cementing their position as Sydney's premium entertainment destination in the eyes of Sydneysiders and international guests; I can't wait be a part of the next chapter of The Star's journey," Ms Glasson added.

Ms Glasson has been working with The Star in the contract position of Acting Head of Public Relations, and has now commenced the permanent role of Director of PR and Communications at The Star.
