From Forbes to the Guardian, and from Harvard Business Review to Business Insider the impact of one subject remains constant – the influence and power of bloggers toward any business or entity. In keeping with their vision of marketing Sri Lanka as a destination through the emerging world of social media, Jetwing has to date sponsored and accommodated close to fifty top travel bloggers from over twenty countries over the past few years.
Described as the country's leading hospitality brand, Jetwing has been the subject for much attention through internationally and locally renowned publications such as Tuk Tuk Thosai (“I cannot put into words just how beautiful and soothing this place is!” – Jetwing Lighthouse) , Triptease (“It would be harder to get closer to nature in such a luxurious setting than at Jetwing Vil Uyana” ), Yamu (“a lovely boutique hotel, impeccably furnished” – Saffron & Blue by Jetwing; “It's pure Hollywood” – Jetwing Lagoon, Hotel Passion (“A great suite” – Jetwing Beach), Kiwi Collection (“Vil Uyana has been designed to be close to nature and it achieves this goal with an easy grace”), TravelJunkieDiary, MarryMeWeddings India (“We stayed at Jetwing Blue for three days and every single meal was outstanding.), ChoosyNomad (“It is so simply and beautifully designed; it repeatedly took my breath away – Jetwing Lagoon), BackpackingwithBrock, and Glamping (“If you could only visit one place in Sri Lanka, Jetwing's Vil Uyana would be it”) amongst others.
“We at Jetwing identified the future of Sri Lanka as a world class travel destination being in the hands of these personalities, as they possess an extensive global knowledge and are able to both share Sri Lanka with their followers; with many being avidly followed by hundreds and thousands of people”, said Ishanth Gunewardene – Head of Sales & Marketing for Jetwing. “Having received a number of travel personalities over the past three years, we will continue to invest in this area of social access to the benefit of the country and Jetwing”, he continued.
