The Setai South Beach is excited to announce the appointment of new executive chef David Werly who took up the position on October 20. Chef Werly brings to the position 17 years of culinary excellence including most recently the Michelin Star, Five Diamond Award AAA Le Cirque in Las Vegas, Two-star Michelin Hotel Ritz in Paris, and Two-star Michelin restaurant Le Pr�catelan Lenotre in Paris.

Trained under prestigious Chef Alaine Ducasse, Chef Werly also held the Executive Chef title at Auberge d'Artzenheim Restaurant in Alsace, France, and joined the Le Cirque family as a chef at Le Cirque 2000 in New York as well as the Mexico City outpost before assuming the role of executive chef of Le Cirque at Bellagio in Las Vegas.

One of the highlights of Werly's tenure at Le Cirque is his relationship with legendary restaurateur Sirio Maccioni, which allowed Werly the opportunity to develop and refine his cuisine.

In his new role as Executive Chef at The Setai, Chef Werly will oversee all of the culinary aspects of the property including The Restaurant, The Grill, The Pool & Beach Bar, The Bar & Courtyard and In-Room dining.
