The Sebel Pier One Sydney Lights Up Vivid 2013

Accor

For the first time in Vivid history, the Sydney Harbour Bridge will be bathed in light come 24 May 2013 and guests at The Sebel Pier One Sydney are in a prime position to soak up Sydney's festival of light.

Not only will the harbour be awash with light, the Walsh Bay arts precinct of which the hotel is part of will be celebrating Vivid for the first time with 13 light installations which will see the iconic finger-wharf buildings light up. Interactive light displays along Walsh Bay will also be a feature of this year's Vivid Festival line-up and guests of The Sebel Pier One are in the heart of the action.

To help celebrate Vivid 2013, The Sebel Pier One Sydney will be operating a pop-up bar on the Pier and will be serving coffee, hot chocolate, Wagu beef burgers and Kransky Rolls from a colourfully lit food cart outside Front Restaurant. For those looking to indulge with something a little stronger, a Moët-Hennessy Bar will be set up in the lobby of the hotel and will be selling Champagne. On Friday and Saturday evenings live acoustic entertainment will be playing on the Pier from 6 - 10pm.

For those wanting to stay at Sydney's best over-water and newly renovated hotel, The Sebel Pier One Sydney is offering a range of Vivid accommodation packages which offer some incredible savings.

From $299 per night guests can enjoy overnight accommodation in a Heritage King room, breakfast for two people and car parking.

For those that really want to indulge in Sydney's most spectacular over-water suites with peerless views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House, the hotel is offering a Suite Vivid deal which includes overnight accommodation in a Harbour View Balcony Suite, in-room dining for two people, a 3-course in-room dinner with a bottle of Taittinger Champagne to be enjoyed on your balcony overlooking Vivid, a Water Taxi to Luna Park to control the lights of the Harbour Bridge (part of Vivid festivities) and car parking all from $1099 per night - which represents a  40% saving on the normal room rate.

Launched in April 2013, the hotel's four statement Harbour View Balcony Suites have fast become Sydney's most sought-after waterfront suites. With direct access to private, expansive balconies with sweeping Sydney Harbour views, the suites boast open-plan living, bathrooms with deep bath tubs, rain showers with side jets and wrap-around glass sliding doors which have guests feeling as though they're floating on water.
