Thailand's luxurious 56-roomed boutique residence, The Sarojin, has launched two new gastronomy experiences showcasing the very best of Thai cuisine.
For a memorable evening of fine-dining inspired by the aromatic flavours of Asia, guests can now join The Sarojin's Chef Gogh for his exclusive Chef's Table Experience, while the resort's new Afternoon Tea Experience promises all the splendour and grandeur of the traditional day-time treat in a stunning outdoor setting. What's more, with The Sarojin featuring in the MICHELIN Guide Bangkok, Phuket, and Phang-nga 2019, the menus for both are sure to impress!
Chef's Table Experience
Paying homage to the aromatic Thai flavours of his childhood, Chef Gogh's seasonal menus, created from regionally sourced local ingredients, are at the heart of The Sarojin's Chef's Table Experience which is held fortnightly in the hotel's Ficus Restaurant.
To begin the evening, guests are invited to join Chef Gogh in the restaurant's relaxing lounge for a complimentary glass of sparkling wine before taking their seats in a specially reserved area of the Ficus Restaurant for an evening of Michelin Guide quality cuisine. For those wanting to experience the wonder of dining beneath the stars, guests can also opt for a table outside under the picturesque ficus tree from which the restaurant gets its name.
Following this, diners are treated to a carefully curated set menu celebrating the vast array of flavours found in Thai cuisine and featuring the likes of king prawns with yuzu mayo, white peach granita and Chef Gogh's take on the Thai chocolate mousse Kad Kokoa.
The Chef's Table Experience is only available on selected dates each month and costs THB 1,950++ per person, exclusive of drinks.
Afternoon Tea Experience
The ritual of the afternoon tea dates back to the 19th century and The Sarojin's newest take on the tradition, which combines British classics with the exotic flavours of Thailand, invites guests to enjoy the day-time treat in the hotel's beautiful lush grounds.
Nestled within the natural shade of The Sarojin's flowering ficus tree and set beside the hotel's tranquil pond, guests can indulge in a selection of finger sandwiches, home-baked scones, sweet cakes and savoury delicacies alongside an assortment of teas. For those extra special occasions, guests can also add a glass of Prosecco* from The Sarojin's award-winning wine cellar for an added touch of elegance. The Afternoon Tea Experience can also be enjoyed in the Ficus Restaurant lobby and bar.
The Afternoon Tea Experience is available daily between 2:30pm – 5:30pm for TBH 1,500++ for two people. The addition of *Prosecco costs THB 330++ per glass.
Guests can stay at The Sarojin from 01 November 2019 - 15 April 2020 and enjoy rates starting from THB 10,583 per night (approx. £284 per night) for 2 persons sharing a luxurious Garden Residence, inclusive of all day a la carte breakfast with sparkling wine (served until 6pm for 2 persons) and all taxes.
