Wannabe PR will be representing The Quiet Site from 1st October 2020, tasked with managing all UK public relations activity on a six-month project basis.
Located in Ullswater, within the heart of Cumbria's Lake District National Park, the Quiet Site is an award winning eco holiday park, consisting of several accommodation options including two self-catering holiday cottages, six luxury glamping cabins, 14 timber camping pods and 15 underground Hobbit Holes. In addition, it offers 70 pitches including all-weather tent pitches and hard standing pitches for caravans and motorhomes.
- Hobbit Holes cost from £70 per night and sleep up to two adults and up to four children https://thequietsite.co.uk/accommodation/hobbithole/
- Camping Pods cost from £35 per night, sleeping up to two adults and two small children https://thequietsite.co.uk/accommodation/pods/
- Glamping Cabins cost from £80 per night sleeping two adults https://thequietsite.co.uk/accommodation/glamping-cabin/
- Holiday Cottages cost from £414 per week, sleeping nine and six, can be let together or individually https://thequietsite.co.uk/accommodation/cottages/
The Quiet Site first opened its doors to campers and caravanners in 1963 and was taken over by the Holder family in 1985. Since then many changes have been brought in with sympathetic quality developments and a fully sustainable business approach being hallmarks of their tenure so far. It is committed to ethical, responsible and sustainable tourism and the company has followed the same Ethical, Responsible and Sustainability Policy for the last decade.
Some of the exceptional facilities include The Quiet Shop, Britain's first Zero Waste shop on a Holiday Park, which opened in 2019 and The Quiet Bar. Often described as the best campsite bar in Britain, the original building was erected in 1680 as an agricultural barn, rebuilt in 1752 and converted into a bar in 1963.
Accolades for the site are in abundance, and awards won in this year alone include AA Campsite of the Year for the NW, Visit England Silver Award for Excellence, and a Queens Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.
Anna Watt, Director of Wannabe PR, commented, “We are hugely excited to have been appointed as the PR agency for The Quiet Site. The exceptional accommodation offerings here provide a fantastic base from which to explore the world-famous Lake District, one of the most beautiful places in the UK. By encouraging off-season visits we hope to enable guests to enjoy a quiet, serene experience away from the stresses of everyday life.”
Daniel Holder, Managing Director of the Quiet Site said, “after a tremendously busy summer period we are looking forward to working with Wannabe PR and the UK media, building awareness of our varied accommodation options and encouraging year round visits. Our guests can enjoy a quiet, serene experience away from the stresses of everyday life whilst being able to enjoy the spectacular landscapes and multitude of experiences this part of the country has to offer.”
