The Prize for Royal Caribbean International's World's First Instagram Film Festival Goes Quantum

Everyone who shares their WOW moments via #InstaFilmFest is now in the draw to sail on the inaugural voyage of Quantum of the Seas

       

Royal Caribbean International has upped the ante in the competition for the world's first Instagram film festival. The winner of the competition will now be one of the first to sail on Royal Caribbean International's much anticipated new superliner - Quantum of the Seas - complete with an array of game changing "firsts at sea"!

 

Each and every guest will be "WOWed" by Quantum of the Seas which spans 16 decks, encompasses 167,800 gross registered tons, carries 4,180 guests and features 2,090 staterooms. Building on a legacy of more than 40 years of innovation and creative design, Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas will thrill guests with features such as: RipCord by iFLY the first skydiving experience at sea which allows everyone from first-time flyers to seasoned skydivers to enjoy the sheer thrill and exhilaration of skydiving in a safe, controlled and simulated environment and the North Star an engineering marvel taking guests to new heights - literally - with a jewel-shaped, glass capsule, transporting them on a spectacular journey more than 300 feet above the ocean and over the sides of the ship to deliver awe-inspiring 360-degree views.

The prize includes return flights from Australia to New York and a balcony cabin for two people.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Other prizes on offer for Royal Caribbean's InstaFilmFest include a two night cruise onboard Rhapsody of the Seas for the most popular WOW moment (People's Choice). And everyone who votes online for their favourite WOW moment will go into the draw to win a Black Edition GoPro camera.

 

The Royal Caribbean InstaFilmFest grand finale will take place onboard the mega liner Voyager of the Seas in Sydney harbour on 13th February, 2014. Finalists and VIPs will attend the exclusive event, where the finalists' videos will be shown and the winners will be announced.*

 

An expert panel of four judges were announced last week: Lauren Bath (Australian Instagram influencer), Pauly Vella (Australian Instagram influencer), Tim Charody (Australian travel documentary maker) and David Farrier (entertainment and technology journalist and personality in New Zealand).

 

Royal Caribbean's InstaFilmFest was created to celebrate the moments in life that take your breath away - or even just make you smile. An unforgettable sunset, waves lapping at your favourite beach, indulging in a beautiful meal, a baby's first steps, the look on the guest of honour's face at a surprise party - the possibilities for "WOW moment" entries are endless - and not just limited to cruising or holidays. Since October, over 500 videos have been shared via the hashtag #InstaFilmFest!
