The Priory Inn, Tetbury, the award-winning hotel/gastropub in the heart of the Cotswolds, is offering a truly romantic break which includes tickets to Westonbirt Arboretum to enjoy a walk amongst the beautiful collection of trees.
To celebrate the special weekend of love, The Priory Inn has put together a package that will fill your dreams with starry nights. Hotel Director and Co-owner Tanya Kelly says: We believe that Valentines is a good reason to get back to Mother Natures earthy roots. So bundle up in chunky jumpers and take a walk amongst some of the most beautiful trees in the country (each person staying on our Valentines package will receive a hand carved wooden heart to remind them of their special walk). When youve worked up an appetite, return to our huge walk-around log fire and enjoy a 3-course candle-lit dinner under the exposed beams with your own love poem, courtesy of The Priory Inn. Then take a night-time wander under the stars to spot your very own star (a star will be named after each couple as part of the package) before sinking between the Egyptian cotton sheets on one of our huge comfy beds.
The family-friendly Priory Inn - which completely refurbished its busy gastropub, bedrooms and cappuccino bar late last year - is fast becoming the new heart of Tetbury. Its aim is to be the best value place to eat, drink and sleep in the Cotswolds, and the gastropubs roots lie firmly in producing exciting modern rustic cuisine using the best seasonal produce the Cotswolds has to offer, cooked expertly but simply and not costing the earth! The Priory Inn gastropub has recently been awarded a Remy Restaurant Award for 2006 for new talent within the UK restaurant scene. The 10 annual regional awards are made to restaurateurs who show a dedication to creating excellent cuisine and are based on 80,000 diners reviews submitted to the Hardens Restaurant Guide.
The gastropub is gaining a reputation for its live music on Sunday nights and its second menu which features gourmet pizzas such as pear, red onion and stilton from the wood-fired oven. The restaurant is welcoming to all members of the family whatever their age with a special lunchtime kids menu and highchairs, but monitors work from bedrooms to restaurants, so parents staying at the hotel can relax in the evenings without the little ones of particular interest around February 14th!
The management team behind The Priory boasts years of hospitality experience between them, working in and launching high profile hotel and restaurant establishments in New York, London and Hertfordshire.
The Priory Inn is situated in Tetbury, a beautiful market town in the heart of the Cotswolds which is one of the most important antiques centres in the UK. It is 2 miles from the Royal home of Highgrove. The hotel has 14 ensuite contemporary bedrooms.
