Developed exclusively for The Peninsula Hotels by leading Ayurveda Aromatherapy specialists Subtle Energies, Sattva by Simply Peninsulamelds ancient traditions with modern methods and massage techniques to create bespoke treatments that purify, rejuvenate and harmonise the body, mind and soul like never before. Meaning 'purity' in Sanskrit, Sattva is true to its name as each product is created using only the highest and purest grade of hand-blended Ayurveda Aromatherapy oils, while the philosophy behind the treatments is grounded in authentic Vedic traditions that date back more than 5,000 years.

The indulgent treatments have been designed using a holistic approach that aims to fortify the body, mind and emotions by employing both traditional Ayurvedic methods and modern techniques such as remedial massage, reflexology and lymphatic drainage. This is combined with an emphasis on the marmas – 107 pressure points that are believed to connect mind and body, as well as the therapeutic and sensory benefits derived from the active ingredients contained in the Ayurveda Aromatherapy blends used in the treatments.

The Sattva Shirodhara with Facial Marma Therapy

• The Sattva Shirodhara with Facial Marma Therapy (60 minutes; HK$ 1,500) calms the nervous system and improves skin conditions and insomnia. The treatment begins with a facial marma, followed by the ancient technique of pouring oil on the forehead, which encourages one to come out of this journey in a rejuvenated and balanced state.

The Kushali Himalayan Crystal Salt Scrub

• The Kushali Himalayan Crystal Salt Scrub (70 minutes; HK$ 1,380) is administered using the titular, mineral-rich salt crystals combined with the energising oils of fragonia, limbu and tulasi, and the vitamin-rich base oils of ashwagandha and black seed sesame, which are renowned for their fortifying and rejuvenating properties. The scrub cleanses and purifies skin while stimulating circulation, draining toxins and helping to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

The Sattva Detox Body Polish

• The Sattva Detox Body Polish (70 minutes; HK$ 1,380) is a light-to-medium, anti-cellulite, exfoliation treatment that uses cinnamon and walnut shells to eliminate dead skin cells, drain toxins and leave skin with a renewed radiance. • The Kushali Reviving Signature Journey (2 hours 30 minutes; HK$ 2,800) begins with the Sattva Signature Foot Ritual, a sensory-rich, aromatic mineral soak that sets the rejuvenating tone for the treatment. This is followed by a mineral-rich, Himalayan Crystal Salt Scrub to cleanse and purify, before a Vedic Aromatherapy massage is administered to strengthen joints and muscles while balancing both prana and doshas. The treatment also includes a marma facial massage featuring an enriching blend of tuberose, mogra and Indian rose.

The Sattva Detox Signature Journey

• The Sattva Detox Signature Journey (2 hours 30 minutes; HK$ 2,800) also begins with the Sattva Signature Foot Ritual and ends with a Vedic Aromatherapy massage and marma facial massage, but includes the Sattva Detox Body Polish to detoxify the body and bring clarity to the mind.

Sattva Signature Podi Journey

• The third signature journey is the Sattva Signature Podi (2 hours; HK$ 2,800), which begins with a traditional Podikizhi therapy. This involves massaging the entire body with dried herb powders wrapped in muslin Bolus bags and dipped in warm oil, followed by an aromatic Ayurveda Aromatherapy massage, which includes lymphatic drainage and balancing of the prana. The therapy is particularly effective for treating water retention, sports injuries, muscular and nerve pain, soft tissue inflammation and joint problems.
