The Peninsula London Celebrates Britain's Strawberry Season With Afternoon Tea for the Summer

As British strawberry season reaches its peak, The Peninsula London is launching a seasonal Strawberry Afternoon Tea that puts the fruit at the centre of one of the capital's most enduring and delightful dining rituals.

The Strawberry Afternoon Tea will be running from Monday 29th June until Sunday 6th September and will be served in both The Lobby - The Peninsula London's grand, light-filled ground-floor restaurant - and in Soleil by Claude, located on the 8th floor of the hotel, where guests can also enjoy the experience on the terrace overlooking Hyde Park.

Served daily from 1:00PM - 6:30PM, guests can enjoy a selection of fine teas alongside a menu of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream, lemon curd and strawberry preserve, and a series of pastries crafted by The Peninsula London's master pâtissiers.

Strawberries take centre stage across the sweet offering, with creations such as a strawberry and Timur pepper mousse; strawberry choux with strawberry compote; strawberry jasmine tart with white chocolate crunch; and a strawberry and almond mousse with millionaire shortbread.

For added indulgence, guests can opt for a glass of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut and Blason Rosé for wine by the glass, or a glass of Saicho sparkling tea as a refreshing non-alcoholic alternative.

Afternoon Tea is served daily in The Lobby and in Soleil by Claude from 12:00PM - 6:00PM

Gluten free and vegan alternatives can be catered for.
