The Opposite House Launches Korean Version of Innovative Website

The Opposite House

The Opposite House has added a Korean version to its innovative website www.theoppositehouse.com.

The Opposite House is the flagship of Swire Hotels, and its website is as unique as the brand, which is launching intriguing urban hotels in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the United Kingdom for travellers seeking individuality, style and personalised service.

The portal takes guests on a virtual journey through the hotel, showcasing its minimalist rooms and suites, designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma and innovative restaurants designed by Shanghai-based Neri & Hu. It is also complemented by a bi-lingual, magazine-style blog called HouseVibe (www.housevibe.cn) allowing its cosmopolitan and wired guests to interact with the hotel online.

Korea is an important market for us, said Anthony Ross, General Manager of The Opposite House. He added that Korea is the known centre of contemporary design and cutting edge fashion in Asia and we think that Koreans will be drawn to The Opposite House.

The Opposite House is located in The Village at Sanlitun, a vibrant new open-plan shopping, dining and entertainment destination developed by the Swire Properties. The hotels 99 guest studios, including 9 spacious suites and a penthouse duplex, are amongst the largest in Beijing. More than half of all the studios are over 70 sqm and all are strikingly simple with natural wooden floors and subtle touches of Chinese dcor.

The Opposite House has won prestigious accolades since opening last year, scooping honours for its fresh approach to personalised service.

Cond Nast Traveler included The Opposite House on its '2009 Hot List' of the world's top new hotels. The magazine also named innovative restaurant Bei among its '2009 Hot Tables', singling out New Orleans chef Max Levy for his "pristine dishes" and "top-notch" sushi.

The hotel's Mediterranean restaurant Sureo was voted Best New Restaurant of the Year by Time Out, Beijing. Australian Gourmet Traveller ranked The Opposite House among the world's Top 30 New Hotels.
