The Nautilus' new Full Moon Crystal Singing Bowl meditation harnesses the spiritual energy released during the full moon cycle to act as a catalyst and support guests to experience increased states of peace and clarity. Guided meditation combined with the practice of Pranayama relaxes the mind, helping to balance heightened energy and channel it into clearing blockages and emotional distress. The vibrations of the singing bowl sound bath focus body and mind on the release of stagnant energy and tension, enabling guests to realign the mind and relax whilst soaking in the healing energy of the crystals. Performed by experienced wellness practitioners from the resort's Solasta Spa, the meditation ritual takes place on the resort's overwater yoga pavilion in the light of the full moon; a sanctuary of movement, mindfulness and release.
The Nautilus' daily programme of complimentary yoga, fitness and meditation sessions also provides an alternate space to escape the pressures of daily life, inviting guests to practice yoga in any way they please: classical Hatha postures and breathing; Ashtanga series; flowing Vinyasa; Yin exercises to improve joint mobility; or aerial yoga. With the promise of absolute freedom, where every moment is tailored to guests' desires, the guided Crystal Singing Bowl meditation is also available on request and can be combined with a yoga session or following a massage to create a deeper sense of relaxation and to strengthen the immune system. The resort's overwater Solasta Spa has been recently augmented with the addition of an air-conditioned space for yoga, whilst fitness enthusiasts can also enjoy games such as futsal and badminton on the island's brand-new multi-sport court.
The Nautilus is the realisation of a vision of boundless privacy and unscripted luxury, where guests can choose exactly what they want to do, where and when. Open 24 hours a day, guests are encouraged to shape their own personal journey at the resort's Solasta Spa and take treatments whenever, and for as long as they desire. Set on stilts over the serene lagoon, Solasta Spa specialises in the bespoke, designing wellness programmes and daily rituals that refresh and relax, pamper and protect.
Three glass-bottomed, over-water treatment pavilions await at any hour. Focusing on natural healing, treatments are enhanced by organic products by Maison Caulières from France and Omorovicza from Hungary, which are exclusive to Solasta and chosen for their natural yet efficacious ingredients. Therapeutic pre- and post- treatment bathing experiences take place in the spa pavilions' outdoor decks under azure skies and above turquoise waters. The Nautilus also hosts Freedom Yoga each morning and evening to salute or bid farewell to the sun as it journeys across the meridian, allowing guests to really embrace Maldivian nature.
The Full Moon Crystal Singing Bowl ritual is priced at USD100 (30 mins), USD150 (60 mins) and USD200 (90 mins). Guided Crystal Singing Bowl meditation also available on request.

Located in the UNESCO biosphere reserve of Baa Atoll, The Nautilus Maldives (www.thenautilusmaldives.com) is a luxury bohemian hideaway which celebrates freedom and individuality, where guests are encouraged to be themselves and shape their own personal journey. The Maldives' only member of Relais & Châteaux, The Nautilus offers a choice of 26 Beach or Ocean Houses inclusive of nine awe inspiring Beach or Ocean Residences and can also be taken exclusively as a private island. Accommodation is perfect for groups or families, sleeping anywhere from four up to twelve guests at The Nautilus Mansion. Dining is “unscripted” and is about liberating the palate. There is nothing so pedestrian as dress codes, opening and closing times or tray charges; menus at overwater fine dining restaurant Zeytoun, beachside grill Ocaso, poolside bar Naiboli and the relaxed Thyme 'all day dining' are for inspiration only. Each and every House is attended by a dedicated private butler, taking care of every whim and need whenever they arise. A beautiful overwater spa (using products by Maison Calulières and Omorovicza), a liveried fleet of yachts and a seaplane, beautiful 'boho-luxe' interiors and a breathtaking house reef offer a quintessential Maldives experience at the highest level, without need for gimmicks. Understatement is king at The Nautilus; it whispers to discreet high net worth travellers who wish to fly under the radar. In his 1870 classic Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Jules Verne described his legendary Nautilus as a “masterpiece containing masterpieces”; launched in Spring 2019, The Nautilus Maldives is quickly earning a similar reputation, since it has just been recognised amongst the Top Three Resorts in the World and as the Best Resort in the Indian Ocean within Condé Nast Traveller's Readers' Choice Award 2020; named as the Best Private Island Retreat in the Tatler Travel Awards 2021; and included in Condé Nast Traveller's prestigious Gold List 2021.
With a secluded setting in the Baa Atoll and just 26 Houses and Residences, The Nautilus is the ideal choice for a private Indian Ocean escape. The already thorough cleaning and hygiene protocols have been further reinforced in line with public health guidelines issued by the WHO and local government authorities, and the team have been fully trained and informed of the new procedures. The Nautilus offers Covid-19 PCR testing onsite for guest convenience with results returned within 24 hours.
