NAPA VALLEY, Calif. (May 2015) – The Napa Valley Wine Train, a vintage train that runs through the heart of the Napa Valley, is celebrating Father's Day with an event designed with Dads in mind. For one day only, the Napa Valley Wine Train will be featuring a grill style menu throughout the Train.

“We wanted to take the traditional Father's Day BBQ and make it more exciting by hosting it on board a fully functioning antique train,” said Napa Valley Wine Train CEO, Tony Giaccio. “The event will be a perfect afternoon to honor fathers. There will be beer, bbq and, most importantly, a train!”

Father's Day on the Wine Train will feature a special grill style menu that includes staff favorites like Chef Kelly Macdonald's famous Baby Back Ribs, Mustard Rubbed Pork or the Wine Train's signature dish, the Beef Tenderloin. Each menu item will have a suggested Californian beer pairing, instead of the Wine Train menu's usual wine pairing.

“I was thrilled be able to pair my menu with beer,” said Chef Kelly Macdonald, Executive Chef for the Napa Valley Wine Train. “In Napa, it is usually all about the wine, and as a beer lover myself, I really enjoyed sampling all of them and imagining which menu item they would best compliment. We've selected some of my favorite California beers to have on board.”

Guests who are over 21 will be welcomed on board with their choice of a welcome beer or a welcome taste of wine.
