22 Sep 2017
Hong Kong, 22 September 2017 - The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel, presents an exclusive wedding showcase with Asia's iconic luxury department store, Lane Crawford. From 22 to 24 September 2017, an in-store exhibition at Lane Crawford ifc mall will showcase three exceptional table settings for the modern couple. Specially selected from Lane Crawford's unique edit of renowned international brands and designers, the tableware collections highlight exquisite craftsmanship, the finest materials, and artistic design.
Couples who choose one of The Murray's unique event spaces as their wedding celebration venue will be able to select from the three curated table settings, reserved for the head table at the wedding banquet.
Guests at the wedding showcase are able to view the following themes:
The Golden Journey
Gold embodies a timeless elegance for lavish weddings. Ornate dinnerware by L'Objet, made from fine Limoges porcelain and embellished with gold accents, add a touch of sophisticated luxury. The two-tone interplay of colours balances a classic and contemporary aesthetic. Paired with Michael Aram's Wheat Collection flatware, and a statement napkin ring, the combination creates a dramatic table setting.
Modern Platinum
A testament to enduring love, platinum signifies the special bond and commitment between a couple. Eclectic creations from L'Objet's sumptuous dinnerware collection juxtapose clean lines, lustrous metallic hues and delicate patterns to exemplify understated glamour. A napkin ring, formed by three interlocking rings, allude to unity and harmony. These design objects blend whimsical elements with subtle refinement to redefine modern luxury for an unconventional bride.
Season of Butterflies
Butterflies are a symbol of matrimonial bliss in Chinese tradition and an embodiment of transformation in other cultures. Desired for their natural beauty and grace, butterflies add a sense of timeless romance to contemporary weddings. Michael Aram's striking dinnerware draws inspiration from nature, from the illustrated butterfly motifs to the concentric circles that reference wheat harvest. This theme contrasts rich metallic hues and sculpted forms with the fragility of porcelain.
“A wedding is such a precious milestone for every couple. At The Murray, we endeavour to bring dream weddings to life with creative and personalised experiences that showcase individuality,” says Maxine Howe, Director of Sales and Marketing. “By launching our new wedding packages along with outstanding chinaware selections by Lane Crawford, we hope to offer more options and inspirational settings for these momentous occasions.”

At 420 sqm, the room can welcome up to 360 guests for a cocktail-style reception or up to 220 guests for a banquet.
