With the wine world abuzz with the quality of wines on Etna, thanks to the minerally terroir and high altitude, young winemakers are returning to ancient family vineyards to give them a new lease of life. There are now more than 100 producers working the steep slopes, up from a handful 30 years ago. Perfect for wine lovers, Il Tanaceto is a beautifully restored farmhouse set on Etna's fertile slopes, overlooking the vineyards.
