The (Luxury Loving) People Have Spoken

The Lancemore Group

The Luxury Travel Gold List Awards are Australia's only luxury travel and tourism awards voted for by those who's opinions count most – the guests themselves. Big winners this year were the Lancemore Group, who took home a staggering 13 gongs on the night.

Luxury Travel Magazine is Australia's bible for luxury travel and lifestyle. For the past 11 years, the Luxury Travel Gold List Awards have recognized the absolute best in luxury travel destinations, experiences and operators across a number of categories. The Awards have become a benchmark for Australia's burgeoning high-end hospitality industry, and voting in the 2015 awards saw the highest numbers of entries to date.

The Lancemore Group, who now operate six properties in their eclectic, diverse portfolio of boutique and luxury hotels, enjoyed a stellar night at the glittering awards ceremony. The Group's standout performer was Werribee Park's famous Mansion Hotel & Spa, which saluted as #1 Best Australian Romantic Property, #2 Best Australian Property within Driving Distance of Capital City, #3 Best Australian Hotel and #12 Best Australian Food & Wine Experience Property.

Still in Victoria, Lancemore's Lindenwarrah at Milawa won four awards including #5 Best Australia Boutique Hotel, Resort, Villa or Lodge and #5 Best Australian Property within Driving Distance of Capital City. Hot on it's heels was fellow Lancemore favourite Lindenderry at Red Hill, also winning four awards, including #6 Best Australia Boutique Hotel, Resort, Villa or Lodge and #6 Best Australian Property within Driving Distance of Capital City.

Alamanda Palm Cove, a relative newcomer to the Lancemore Group, also picked up #3 Best Australian Family Property and #13 Best Australian Hotel.

Lancemore Group CEO Julian Clark was understandably ecstatic about the group's performance, but also humbled by his guest's ringing endorsement of the team's efforts.

Clark says, “Awards are nice to win, no doubt about it, but in this case it's all the more special because the Awards are voted for entirely by our guests. Everything we do, we do for them. And we're blown away to think that they are now officially Australia's happiest hotel guests.”

There are four Lancemore boutique properties in Victoria, each having a unique offering, in some of the state's most picturesque corners. The Lancemore Group is consistently strengthening its credentials, acquiring Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore in February 2014. And more recently, the iconic Larmont Sydney by Lancemore, in Sydney's eclectic Potts Point. The more recent acquisitions take the national portfolio of properties to six – and expand the Group into two new states – Queensland and NSW respectively.
