The Legendary Pacific Coast Launches an International Trade Marketing Drive at Australia's Largest Tourism Event

The Legendary Pacific Coast (Touring Route)

The Legendary Pacific Coast will stage its largest ever presence at the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), Australia's premier tourism trade event and the largest international travel trade show of its kind in the southern hemisphere in Sydney this week.

Eight exhibition booths will be linked by The Legendary Pacific Coast branding and staffed by a contingent of 10 representatives from regional and local tourism bodies and businesses from April 27 to 30 April.  This will be the largest and most professional TLPC contingent on show to-date spearheaded by the North Coast Destination Network’s Byron Bay-based, International Marketing Specialist, Russell Mills.

“We will meet and sell to nearly 90 international travel wholesalers and agents, businesses that create and sell Australian travel itineraries from Asia, the Pacific, North America, Canada, Europe and the UK, ” said Mr Mills.

“Our key sales tool will be a new 52 page Touring & Product Planner detailing product from throughout The Legendary Pacific Coast from the Central Coast in the south to The Tweed in the north, suggested itineraries, practical travel advice and destination information to assist travel planners and product managers in creating customized, self-drive experiences along this iconic Australian journey.”

The Legendary Pacific Coast’s ATE presence will be further heightened with the launch of its new Food and Wine video Click here to View and hosting of a Food and Wine Showcase on the Destination NSW stand on Saturday April 27 when international delegates can travel TLPC with their tastebuds, sampling produce and fine foods from The Manning Valley, Greater Port Macquarie, Nambucca, Coffs Coast, Byron Bay and the Tweed Valley.

“This is an excellent opportunity for The Legendary Pacific Coast to make its mark among leading international travel specialists and build business for our 400 member businesses along the route,” said TLPC Chair, Ms Belinda Novicky.

“We aim to significantly increase international visitor expenditure along the route over the next three years through new market development in Asia and targeted cooperative marketing initiatives in established western markets.  This, in turn, will contribute to the success and the economic stability of individual tourism businesses and the many towns and villages along the route.”

The Legendary Pacific Coast is created and marketed to domestic and international visitors to discover the colour, character and experiences of the many towns, villages, National Parks, State Forests and sparkling beaches along our popular tourism route and TLPC presents that information in a way that is simple, inviting and catering to a broad range of special interests.
