Montana

The LARK, a new and distinctly locally owned lodging choice situated in the heart of downtown Bozeman, will welcome guests from near and far this summer season. The LARK opened in April 2015 as a community-powered inspiration featuring the sights, sounds and people of this unique, active town. Originally built in the 1960s, the 38-room property's Streamline-era architecture has undergone a complete overhaul, with a new open-air design, an outdoor fire pit and expansive balconies overlooking bustling downtown Bozeman. More than 200 locals worked to reimagine, recycle and renovate the hotel that is now The LARK. The hotel serves as a hub for adventure seekers to explore, be inspired and discover all the nuances of Bozeman's continuous cultural evolution.

“As a destination featuring a distinct arts and culture scene, outdoor recreation and growing culinary offerings, Bozeman offers that unique juxtaposition between comfort, culture and innovation,” said General Manager Keith Comiso. “The LARK reflects the city in this same way, offering a modern, comfortable and creative launching pad to explore this incredible town that is growing every day.”

The LARK boasts ten Montana artists that worked to give each room a unique, intriguing connection to Bozeman and the greater Montana area. Wall installations in every room invite guests to explore and be inspired, telling a story about the experiences that are waiting just outside their door. For example, installations like “Treasure State Fliers” portray the impressive variety of avian life in the Bozeman region. “Rings of Time,” a visual chronicle of significant events in Bozeman's history, and “Marvin,” a moose that is symbolic of Montana's most majestic animals, provide a glimpse into Montana's bountiful natural habitat and rich culture .

On-property eats were added in late May when Bozeman restaurateur Joe Darr opened Victory Taco in a vintage Spartan trailer located adjacent to the hotel. Guests can enjoy hand-crafted tacos like the “Piggly Wiggly,” a pork taco with verde sauce, or the “The Kim Jung,” a Southside Korean taco with spicy bean mash and red cabbage. Victory Taco will also serve gourmet treats from Genuine Ice Cream Company, featuring Flathead Lake cherries and other ingredients from in andaround Bozeman. These offerings perfectly complement the local flavor of The LARK and its surrounding community.

The LARK has proven to be the perfect basecamp for visitors to fully realize a uniquely Montana experience. The custom-designed Map Room located off the lobby, along with complimentary Field Guide travel journals gifted upon check-in, inspire guests to explore the region from every angle. The knowledgeable staff is at the ready to share local hot spots and hidden gems throughout Bozeman and beyond. When you return from your adventures, guestrooms feature a 32-inch HD flat-screen TV with Google Chromecast, MALIN+GOETZ amenities, cozy LARK bathrobes and a signature three-piece bathroom with walk-in tile shower.

The hotel plans to host events for guests and locals alike, such as artist gatherings and tastings with local breweries and distilleries. For rates, availability and reservations for The LARK, call 866-464-1000 or visit larkbozeman.com.
