Shanghai, China, March 2013.  Mr John O’Shea, General Manager, The Langham, Xintiandi, Shanghai announced today that the hotel has signed an agreement to be the official hotel partner of 2013 Shanghai Fashion Week. 

Located in the heart of Xintiandi and surrounded by international luxury boutiques and fashion houses, The Langham Xintiandi is the perfect venue to host Shanghai's fashion elite.  This year’s Fashion Week will be held from 10th – 17th April in a glamorous marquee atop Xintiandi’s Tai Ping Lake just a short five minute walk from the hotel. 

Throughout the event the Hotel will be THE venue to be seen and to hang out with fashion designers, models, stylists and Shanghai’s glitterati.  The Hotel’s XTD elevated outdoor lounge and bar which re-opens on April 8th, will be the official after-party venue and will offer special fashion-themed cocktails throughout the week to celebrate Shanghai Fashion Week.

As part of the agreement, The Langham Xintiandi will be the host venue for the formal press conference on 10th April and the official hotel when it comes to accommodation for designers and VIP guests attending Fashion Week events.   In addition, the hotel will also host the VIP ‘Langham’ Lounge at the Shanghai Fashion Week marquee on Tai Ping Lake.  Special accommodation rates will also be available for guests looking to attend this year’s Fashion Week.
