On 14 June 2014, The Langham, Xintiandi welcomed award-winning actress Nicole Kidman, Chinese media star Yang Lan and her husband media mogul Bruno Wu to stay at the hotel during their visit to Shanghai.
Nicole Kidman walked the red carpet at the opening ceremony of the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival and attended the China Premier Luncheon of her new film Grace of Monaco, along with Chinese celebrity Yang Lan at the hotel on 15 June 2014. Nicole Kidman, Yang Lan and Bruno Wu and their VIP guests enjoyed a contemporary lunch prepared by executive chef Jorg-Peter Nodler and the culinary team as key hosts together with John O'Shea, general manager of The Langham, Xintiandi, Shanghai.
