The Langham, Sydney is delighted to announce the appointment of Anthony Craven as the boutique hotel's new Executive Chef. Anthony will lead the team at renowned restaurant Galileo and oversee all aspects of in-room dining, including relaunching The Langham's signature Tiffin afternoon Tea.
Bringing 20 years of experience to The Langham, Sydney, Anthony is highly regarded as an innovative chef with an impressive track record of establishing the culinary direction of restaurants and kitchen departments. Anthony returns home to Sydney after leading a 35-chef brigade at The Peninsula Manila having also worked in Dubai.
In his role at The Langham, Sydney, Anthony is charged with re-invigorating the menu at Galileo – an award winning Sydney institution, highly regarded for its innovative modern Australian cuisine and an extensive wine list.
Anthony has already made his mark by relaunching the hotel's timeless Tiffin at The Langham, the original afternoon tea first introduced in 1865 at Europe's original grand hotel, The Langham, London. Guests can now enjoy three tiers of decadence and delight consisting entirely of in-house creations using the finest quality ingredients. The freshly baked scones, delicate finger sandwiches and miniature patisseries have already become fast favourites.
