The Langham Huntington, Pasadena Announces First Quarter 2017 Programming

PASADENA, Calif. -  The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, Southern California's iconic landmark hotel, has announced programming for the first quarter of 2017.  Offers at the hotel include dining and wellness events ranging from festive holiday dinners and restaurant week dining  specials to fitness programming, energizing massage treatments and detoxing facials. 

DINING

The hotel kicks off a strong January with dineL.A. Winter Restaurant Week and a special menu to celebrate Lunar New Year. This year, the Langham's bistro-style restaurant, The Terrace will offer a special prix-fixe lunch and dinner menu featuring popular entrees like Jumbo Prawns with Cheesy Polenta Grits and Maple Glazed Bacon and Sweet Potato Mac N' cheese with Butternut Squash. The Royce Wood-Fired Steakhouse was one of a handful of restaurants selected to participate in dineL.A.'s Exclusive Series to create a special menu for the occasion. Guests can dine on Wagyu New York Strip with braised short-rib, smoked potato and black peppercorn or Alaskan Halibut with red kale and mushroom fricassee. DineL.A. menus are available January 13 - 27.

The Langham Huntington, Pasadena will celebrate the Year of the Rooster by offering a special Lunar New Year celebratory menu available from January 28 until February 11th. The thoughtfully prepared menu includes popular dishes like Ginger Soy-glazed Salmon with Jasmine Rice and Chinese Long Beans, Honey Walnut Shrimp with Broccolini, and Beef Lo Mein with Scallions, Bell Pepper and Crimini Mushrooms.

The Royce Wood-Fired Steakhouse is thrilled to announce the return of its Monthly Wine Dinner Series launching Thursday, January 19 with Justin Winery. The special evening is enjoyed inside the intimate Red Wine Room and is limited to 12 guests per event. Each month, a select winery is invited and guests are led through a 4-course dinner paired with wines carefully hand-selected to complement each dish, with commentary by the winery or winemaker. Confirmed dates for the wine dinners are February 16 with Prisoner Wine Company, March 9 with Morlet Vineyards and April 13 with Winemaker, Chris Carpenter.

There are a number of dining offers available to celebrate Valentine's Day at the hotel including a "Pink" themed Chocolate Afternoon Tea in the Lobby Lounge, Live Jazz and Specialty Cocktails at The Tap Room and prix-fixe dinners at The Terrace and The Royce Wood-Fired Steakhouse. A special Valentine's Day dinner menu at The Royce will be available on Saturday, February 11 and Tuesday, February 14. The Terrace will present its own special menu which will be available on Tuesday, February 14.

On February 7 from 11am - 2pm, the Langham Huntington has joined forces with Five Acres, a charity focused on finding permanent homes for foster children in the community to host Fashion for Philanthropy, a charity fashion luncheon at The Terrace. The event features designs from Black Halo and a lively discussion with Black Halo Founder/Creative Director, Laurel Berman, StilettoGal Founder Hillary Gadsby and Los Angeles magazine Style Editor, Linda Immediato. The ticketed event includes a 2-course luncheon with wine, fashion show, raffle, gift bags and retail market with 20% of proceeds from ticket sales benefitting Five Acres.  Tickets can be purchased by visiting 5acres.org/langhamlunch

SPA & WELLNESS

Chuan Spa at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena has created a special Valentine's Day Spa Treatment Menu that includes special couples and individual treatments including massages, facials and special occasion-themed enhancements like Aromatherapy, champagne, or chocolate-covered strawberries.  

In addition to Valentine's Day treatments, Chuan Spa also offers a myriad of specialized services such as the Kerstin Florian Bamboo Massage and the Vitality Facial with Immunocologie products. The Bamboo Massage incorporates bamboo stalks to provide deep-tissue work for healthy circulation, relief of muscle tension and detoxification.
