The Hotel Britomart has been recognised overnight in the latest Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best as the #1 hotel in New Zealand and the #6 hotel in the South Pacific, a remarkable achievement that places the hotel among the region’s most highly regarded hospitality experiences. This marks the second time The Hotel Britomart has been named #1 hotel in New Zealand on Tripadvisor, following its previous top ranking in the 2023 Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Awards. 

The recognition follows another major milestone for the hotel, having last year been named one of only three hotels in New Zealand to receive a Michelin Key, one of the world’s most prestigious distinctions for exceptional hospitality.

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it comes directly from guests. Unlike awards judged by industry panels, Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards are based on reviews and ratings shared by travellers themselves, making this a powerful reflection of the experience guests have when they stay at The Hotel Britomart.
