The recently restored The Grosvenor Arms is now open. The refurbishment has created the most welcoming of modern inns - a place with fine food, sociable spaces, comfortable bedrooms and impeccable service.
Head Chef Neil Duffett, oversees food operations in the all-day café, restaurant and bar. Neil spent 10 years with Alex Aitken at Le Poussin and three years at Lime Wood in Hampshire.
The different areas to the Grosvenor Arms include the 16 bedrooms, the restaurant, the main dining area, two smaller seating areas and the pizza/delicatessen area for less formal occasions, and the conservatory and courtyard for alfresco dining.
There is a wood-burning oven where you can see your pizza or shoulder of pork being cooked and there is a focus on supporting local producers with clams, hand-picked from the ocean bed by Dorset fishermen; locally reared, organic beef; and vegetables fresh from the ground. The food is beautifully prepared with the emphasis on the ingredients.
A bolthole getaway, a stones throw from the Jurassic Coast, The Grosvenor Arms is a foodie, family and romantic haven.
