Shine Spa at Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, Cotai Central is offering guests the ultimate in natural skin nutrition and care based on the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine with the launch of the Elemental Herbology range of skincare and treatments.
In Macao first, the collaboration will see Shine Spa offer a range of facial treatments, skin and massage packages using the Elemental Herbology products, focusing on skin nutrition to increase vitality and youthfulness.
Ms. Janet McNab, Managing Director of Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel said she was thrilled to welcome Elemental Herbology to Shine Spa to provide guests with a specifically tailored skin treatment offering.
“We are excited to introduce Elemental Herbology to the Macao market and we're more than confident that Shine Spa guests will enjoy the range of products and treatments that we're now able to offer,” Ms McNab said.
“The appeal of skin nutrition and balance is a much sought-after need in our hectic schedules, and with its homage to the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine, Elemental Herbology's product offering is an ideal fit for Shine Spa.”
Exclusive in Macao to Shine Spa, the philosophy behind the Elemental Herbology range is the belief that skin health derives from harmony and equilibrium in the body, with the products related to each of the five elements of traditional Chinese medicine – wood, fire, earth, metal and water.
With origins in traditional Chinese medicine, the focus on the five elements reflect the different characteristics of everyone's skin, and each category has been developed to cater and adapt to each skin type's unique needs and lifestyle dependent on the time of year. These include:
|
Wood |
- aligned to Spring, germination, growth and change |
|
Fire |
- aligned to Summer, symbolising outward movement, warmth and maximum energy |
|
Earth |
- aligned to late Summer, the element of transformation and harmony |
|
Metal |
- aligned to Autumn, a wonderful time to harvest and boost reserves |
|
Water |
- aligned to Winter, a time to nurture, support, turn inward and be calm |
Shine Spa is offering a range of treatments utilising Elemental Herbology products that incorporate the restorative benefits of each of the five elements, as well as taking into account the seasonal factors that can impact skin health and nutrition.
