The all-day dining restaurant The Kitchen Table at W Taipei has revamped its menu and its theme to “The Fish Market” on every Friday and Saturday night. Executive Chef Colin Chun successfully mixes and matches the best of local and continental Cuisines and magnifies this delightful experience through an engaging seafood buffet from July the fourth this year.
“Come for the fun and stay for the food!” shared Executive Chef Colin Chun. “We are ready to pamper you with our new selection of seafood delicacies with international flavors, from sashimi to poached & grilled, from cold cuts to hot stuff, from live stations to pass around!”
Dinners can discover the “Catch of the Day” (chilled seafood) written on the black board which includes Alaskan king crabs, king prawns, baby lobsters, blue swimmer crabs, oysters, sea snails, mussels and clams. More cold seafood dishes such as Smoked Salmon Potato Salad, Tuna Nicoise and Sumac Prawn Barle Tabbouleh are also available at the chilled station. At the Japanese Station where assorted preserved condiments, sushi and sashimi such as salmon, tuna, king fish, sword fish sashimi are available. Tamaki Shrimps and Asparagus rolls are made à la minute for all guests.
Hot soups such as the Lobster Bisque and Clam Ginger Soup are available next to the Steaming Hot Station including Banana Leave Sea Bass, Green Seafood Curry, Seared Scallop Cod Fish Sauce Nantua, Fisherman's Pie and Prawn Nasi Goreng. Diners can also opt to have their seafood grilled such as Salmon Spinach Wellington at the Carving Station. For those who favor the blend of fresh seafood with pasta can choose their own noodles and selections of lobsters, scallops, prawns and king crabs to Aglio e Olio, Seafood Marinara, or fennel cream.
And, if these aren't enough to provide the ultimate pleasure of the bounty of the sea, The Kitchen Table also offers the Chef's tailored Creations. Executive Chef Colin Chun's team is available to recommend and create a special dish, according to the guest's liking.
While a lavish seafood buffet is thrilling, the pastry items made by W Taipei's Sweetologist Chef Ponytail at the dessert station are another must try. Assorted éclair, chocolate cakes, fruity mousse, puddings, macaroons and homemade gelato ice cream and sorbet bar are all worth saving up the space for.
“The Fish Market” at the kitchen table is served every Friday and Saturday evening from 18:00 to 21:30 priced at TWD1,580 per person and TWD790 for children under 12.
