World Gin Week

NEW YORK, May 11, 2026 — World Gin Week, a first-ever annual event celebrating gin history, versatility and culture, will debut this year on June 13-20, 2026. The week-long celebration is the brainchild of co-founders Philip Duff, a spirits expert, and Karl Finegan, owner of The Ivory Peacock, a noted bar serving 1,200 gins, one of the largest selections in the world. World Gin Week will feature bar pop-ups, tastings and world-class educational seminars by drinks luminaries such as Dale DeGroff, Allen Katz, Steve Schneider, Natasha Bahrami and others.

A Global Initiative Designed to Celebrate and Promote Gin
During this unprecedented festival, bars around the world will be encouraged to create special gin menus, gin cocktails and promotions with the goal of engaging consumers to discover new gins, gin libations and gin-focused bars. Its mission is to foster a deeper appreciation of gin through experiential events and educational activities.

“We want World Gin Week to be the greatest celebration of gin that the world has ever seen, empowering and encouraging bars, bartenders and gin lovers everywhere to give some extra love to that noble juniper spirit which has spanned the globe, kick-started not one, but TWO Golden Ages of cocktails, and given us the very icon of the cocktail itself, the Martini,” says 1 of 2 Duff, Director of Liquid Solutions, Ltd.

“There was no single focal point for gin lovers, enthusiasts and makers to come together and celebrate these remarkable gins and the master distillers who pour their lives and souls into creating them, so we have launched World Gin Week,” says Finegan. “Gin has earned its renaissance, and World Gin Week is where that renaissance finds its home.”
