The five-star family-favourite Marti Resort in Icmeler, on Turkey’s stunning South-west coast is now the one-stop shop for rollerbladers and rollerskaters as they launch their new rollerblading promenade with complimentary rollerblading equipment hire so that guests can cruise along the beautiful Blue Flag beach in true style.
New for autumn/winter 2013, rollerblading is the latest addition to Marti Resort Marmaris’ extensive list of fun children’s activities. The flat promenade area between the beach and the hotel offers the perfect conditions for novice and more experienced rollerbladers of all ages. Rollerblades and skates of all shapes, sizes and colours will be available for hire at the resort along with the essential helmets, knee and elbow pads to prevent any knocks and grazes. Expert rollerblading guests are welcome to bring their own rollerblading gear to show off their wheel skills on the promenade.
The resort has long been a popular summer destination for families with children of all ages and now they will have the opportunity to create even more fun holiday memories as they try out rollerblading all together; whether it be because children discover a new favourite hobby or lots of giggles were had watching Dad take too many tumbles!
And if the going gets a little too hot, guests can either jump straight into the calm sea or in one of the resort’s two pools that are surrounded by palm trees, sunbeds and thatched umbrellas. For smaller guests the paddling pool provides the perfect cool down spot. The three snack bars will see hungry mouths through the day with cold drinks and light bites such as sandwiches, salads and toasties. During the high season, there is also a special children’s buffet. For younger guests aged between 4 and 11 that might be too little to don a pair of blades, the hotel runs a miniclub with a full range of fun activities.
This rustic, luxurious resort set in tropical gardens and boasting its own private beach, is the perfect hotel for families, with 257 rooms, 11 suites and 12 deluxe villas. The hotel is in a safe environment secluded between pine-filled hills and the long stretch of coastline with views that stretch across the bay. Yet it is only five minutes away from the old town and the shops and restaurants of Icmeler, and a 15-minute taxi ride to buzzing Marmaris where there the shopping, restaurants, bars and nightlife are second to none.

About Marti Group
Founded in 1967, Martı Group began operations in 1969 with Turkey's first real resort property, Martı Resort Hotel in Marmaris. Another upscale resort, Martı La Perla Hotel, also in Marmaris, was launched in 1988, followed by Martı Myra Hotel in 1995 in Kemer, near Antalya. Boasting a high degree of recognition in its homeland and throughout Europe, Martı Group is poised to strengthen its brand by embarking on an aggressive growth plan. Four major projects are currently underway, the most significant of which is an 11-storey five star hotel in central Istanbul. Other developments include a luxury holiday center in Marmaris adjacent to Martı's two existing operations, a "culture hotel" near the historic site of Aphrodisias in Western Turkey, a 31 suite luxury boutique hotel located next to Martı Marina & Yacht Club near the Datça Peninsula and, finally, a five star hotel/convention center/safari park project in Kuşadası built on 1.1 million square meters of land.
