The Countdown Is On: Five Months To Go Until GVI's Global Initiative Programme

GVI

Sign up now…

On 16th August 2014, hardworking volunteers are invited to travel to one of three fascinating locations and join this ambitious and passionate organisation; why not sign up now to become part of a team of workers simultaneously improving educational infrastructure within local communities across the globe. A truly international event, the projects will all take place during one week; a week of teamwork, community and change.

Only 20 weeks to go…

Currently over 57 million primary school-aged children across the world do not receive any form of education. This shocking statistic has been addressed in the UN Millennium Development Goal, which states that all children of this age should receive some sort of formal education by 2015. This date is rapidly looming, so there's no better time to get involved and to help combat this critical social issue. August 2014 is a mere five months away and summer will be here before we know it, so get involved now before places fill up.

Volunteers can choose from three spectacular destinations, where they will have the chance to interact with local communities, immerse themselves in a new culture, meet fantastic new people and, of course, help with these important community projects. After all the hard work, volunteers can choose to extend their trip and explore the fascinating countries and all that they offer.

Head to the lush rainforest and vast palm plantations of Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica where volunteers can enjoy beaches and hiking trails during their time off. Or Cape Town, South Africa, the cultural capital of the world, where beautiful coasts and a lively atmosphere make for a wonderful working and living environment. Phang Nga, Thailand is the final destination option, boasting a magnificent mixture of tropical beaches, secret islands, and a truly fascinating culture. Wherever volunteers go they will have the chance to explore a truly captivating place, as well as contribute to vital and well-deserved local projects.

Skilled and un-skilled workers over the age of 15 are welcome; it's all hands on deck! From day one, training and guidance is provided, with orientation sessions and informative presentations, ensuring that everyone gets the most possible out of the project. Hard work and enthusiasm are, of course, prerequisites, and the final result will undoubtedly make it all worth it.

The deadline is approaching…

So why not get involved now? August 2014 is imminent, and there is plenty of work to be done. Don't delay, sign up for GVI's Global Initiative Programme now and get one step closer to education for all.
