The Cape Verde Islands Now Costing Less!

Destination Portugal

Following the BBC A Place in the Sun series which featured the Cape Verde Islands as a good value second home/property speculation target, there has been a lot of enquiries from people who are interested in purchasing property.

Destination Portugal (under its Idyllic Islands off Africa programme) is offering a 1 week visit to the Island of Sal, where the bulk of new development is taking place.

The good news is that with effect from 1st April, TAP Air Portugal have reduced their fares from London to Sal (via Lisbon) resulting in a reduction of 127 in July and August and 110 in all other months this Summer.

The new price of a 7 night stay at the Hotel Atlantico*** in Espargos (in the centre of Sal Island AND 2 Kms from the Airport) is now just 769 per person in July and August and 678 for the rest of the Summer 2005. This includes scheduled flights from Heathrow or Gatwick to Sal with a plane change in Lisbon, 7 nights twin share B&B accommodation and private taxi transfers.

The Hotel is 18 Km from the Santa Maria beach and has 81 rooms all of them with en-suite shower room, telephone, fan and balcony. Other amenities include restaurant, air conditioned panoramic bar, TV room, boutique, tennis court and discotheque. It is ideally placed for visiting the whole Island by Hire car or Taxi.

Inter-Island flights, car rental and alternative accommodation is readily available from Destination Portugal 01993 773269 www.africanislands.co.uk .
