This correlates with a significant increase in international ticket sales, potentially driven by diverse content, cast and creative of these members. Travelers with plans to visit Broadway will be spoilt for choice with these award nominated shows.
An American in Paris is the Broadway Collection's top Tony-nominated show of the season and has also tied for the most nominations of all other shows, with 12 total nods. The show's leads both come from the world of professional ballet, attracting new audiences and making their respective nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role even more impressive. Also nominated for Best Musical, the winners in each category will be revealed June 7, 2015, the night of the awards ceremony.
Something Rotten! is a new comedy about two brothers in the 1600's trying to upstage England's Bard by creating the world's first musical.
