Following the successful Press Conference and the Cebiche & Pisco Party organised by PROMPERÚ on the 24th of October, Peru’s legendary music band Cumbia All Stars took WOMEX by storm after performing at the Wales Millennium Centre.

 Cumbia All Stars is one of the most famous cumbia bands in Latin America and their performance at WOMEX was highly acclaimed by hundreds of music lovers that came to see the best cumbia of Latin America. A selection of the best hits of Cumbia All Stars impressed the audience and showed great potential for a crossover to foreign markets, increasing the awareness of the amazing originality they bring to their music.

PromPerú has been promoting for the last decade gastronomy as one of the most iconic products of the country and now, throughout its campaign ‘Music Peru’ they aim to make its music cross borders and become well known at an international level. The presence of Musica Peru in Womex was a great opportunity to promote Peru’s products and artists, and at the same time strengthened Peru’s image by engaging foreign investors and important representatives of the music industry.
