THE BAUERs Biennale Art Tour 2015
The BAUERs, Venice are delighted to announce their exclusive cultural tour package in light of La Biennale Di Venezia 2015. The two day, one night experience will take guests on a distinctly Venetian and immersive tour of the world's most influential contemporary art galleries and exhibitions. The BAUERs' native Venetian art expert will take guests on a carefully curated educational journey through the stunning world heritage site listed city. Making modern art accessible, the experience will give guests the opportunity to experience a local insight and gain a personal perspective into the city's cultural offerings, including dining at some of Venice's best restaurants, off the beaten track.
DAY 1
Perfect for those desiring an insightful introduction to modern art, the tour will grant guests access to specially selected pavilions within La Biennale's main exhibition area, Giardini, an area of parkland converted from marshland by Napoleon Bonaparte. Transported by private water taxi, guests will spend the morning at the Central Pavilion, exploring All the World's Futures, curated by Nigerian, Okwui Enwezor, which provides an overview of the contemporary global art scene.
The tour will then guide the enthusiasts around a selected series of the 29 international pavilions, catered to guests' tastes and interest. Exhibiting modern artists' most profound work, guests will be educated on abstract atrworks in the form of sculptures, film and print in the pavilions from Korea to Canada and Norway to Azerbaijan.
Included within the package, Lunch will be taken off the tourist-free track at a typically Venetian restaurant, selected from THE BAUERs little black book, suited to guests' taste and desires. The artistic journey will continue into the afternoon, taking guests to specially selected pavilions within a further exhibition area, Arsenale.
Following a culture absorbing day, a private taxi will transport the guests to take dinner at De Pisis, where they will dine on fresh locally sourced Mediterranean dishes as the sun sets into the Grand Canale. Included within the package, guests will spend the night at the exclusive PALLADIO HOTEL & SPA located on the tranquil Giudecca Island across the Venetian lagoon, where they will relax in comfort, just a short boat ride away from the heart of the city.
DAY 2
Following a traditional Italian al-fresco breakfast, guests will be led around Palazzo Fortuny, exploring the stunning gothic gallery located on San Marco. The palace, previously owned by Spanish fashion designer, Mariano Fortuny, exhibits his paint, light, photographic and textile work in what was once his home, studio, and think-tank.
Lunch will take the guests to THE BAUERs' Ulivo restaurant where locally sourced Italian dishes are served alfresco on the terrace, within the largest private gardens in Venice. During the latter part of the aftetnoon, the experienced guide will take guests to a carefully selected variety of national and non-national galleries, scattered around the stunning city. Standout events include My East is your West, which documents the historical conflict between India and Pakistan, collaborating the works by artist from each country; as well as the Elvis inspired Heartbreak Hotel, by The Vanhaerents Art Collection, consisting of a series of sculptures which aim to explore the notions of melancholy, physical suffering and martyrdom. The tour will conclude, taking guests to THE BAUERs' Canale Bar, for a retrospective pre-dinner aperitif, overlooking the glistening lagoon.

Total price for THE BAUERs Biennale Art Tour is €543 based on 2 people sharing 1 double room for 1 night at the PALLAIDO HOTEL & SPA. Package includes: personal private art tour guide, private water taxis, entrance to pavilions, galleries and exhibitions, lunch at a restaurant of choice, breakfast, lunch at a selected restaurant, dinner at De Pisis, lunch at Ulivo as well as aperitifs at Canale Bar.
