Spring is finally here and with it comes the long anticipated Jersey Royal season 2014. To celebrate the warmer weather, longer days and the seasonal produce, Jersey Royals has invited Michelin-Star chef Mark Jordan from The Atlantic Hotel, Jersey and Great British Chefs to host the first facebook cook-along live in your kitchen.
Executive Head Chef of The Atlantic Hotel, Mark Jordan will prepare an exclusive Jersey Royals recipe of Pan Roasted Fillet of Salmon with Marinated Jersey Royals and Dill and Crab Salad live on the Great British Chefs Facebook page, home to the UK's finest chefs. Mark will offer step-by-step guidance; tips and advice to make sure everyone taking part can recreate and enjoy the delicious dish at home.
Commenting on the Cook-along, Mark Jordan said: “Most people will agree that Jersey Royals taste great served with just butter and a pinch of salt but I hope that my live Facebook cook-along will give people at home the confidence to create something quite special with the seasonal spud. The dish might sound a little complicated but I'll be taking everyone through the recipe step-by-step and teaching some little tricks of the trade as I go.”
The one hour cook-along will take place live on Sunday 18th May at 12noon and the full ingredients list will be available online on Thursday 1st May at www.greatbritishchefs.co.uk and on Jersey Royals Facebook.
Mark Jordan's Pan Roasted Fillet of Salmon with Marinated Jersey Royals and Dill and Crab Salad dish will be on the lunch menu at Ocean Restaurant at The Atlantic Hotel, Jersey from 19th May and to celebrate the Royals season the hotel has launched a special two-night late spring break:
Stay two nights at The Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant from £112.50 per person per night including breakfast, three-course lunch at Ocean Restaurant and car hire to explore the island of Jersey. Available until 3rd July.
