The Aphrodite Hills Spa Opens Next Year

Aphrodite Hills Resort, Cyprus

The Aphrodite Hills Spa in the heart of the village is on schedule to open fully in Spring 2004. Open already is the gymnasium which is proving popular with some of the first residents in the resort.

Just as ancient Greeks would have their local baths to relax, refresh and rejuvenate, the spa will recreate the baths of Aphrodite Hills for the residents of the resort. Saunas and steam rooms, and exotic hot and cold rooms, will form part of the luxurious thermae located around an inner courtyard running through the building.

The monastic architectural style of the spa, quiet gardens and secluded courtyards, bougainvilleas and hibiscus, and natural scents from the Mediterranean, will complement the modern health, beauty and gymnasium facilities available to all residents and visitors to the resort. Most of the treatment rooms will overlook the gardens or enjoy views of the spectacular sunsets.

The sundeck with Jacuzzi temple, complete with water loungers adjacent to the swimming pool, will rest close to the edge of the cliff overlooking the blue Mediterranean. Spa treatments read like a compendium of all that is good to help nourish clients.

The 140 sq m (1,507 sq ft) gymnasium will be well equipped and professionally staffed by experts from Premier Fitness in the UK. They will assess clients and set routines to develop and maintain them physically as well as mentally.

Whether it becomes an essential part of a daily routine or simply a relaxing place to sit on the terrace and enjoy a healthy snack in the sunshine, the spa will add to the values gained from the lifestyle at Aphrodite Hills, says Lanitis Development.
