The Amman Marriott Embraces Healthy Lifestyles

Marriott Jordan

Marriott is an industry leader when it comes to helping travelers stay healthy on the road. This year, the company announced that all of its hotels in North America globally would significantly reduce the use of trans fats by switching to a trans fat-free frying oil and French fries. The hotels had previously eliminated trans fats from their artisanal breads, salad dressings, pancake and waffle mixes, muffins, croissants and cookies. The Amman Marriott Hotel has also joined this endeavor to help in this initiative to help guests remain healthier.

Chef Oliver, the chef de cuisine at the Amman Marriott Hotel has also designed a special Fit For You menu at the Villa Mediterrano restaurant. Fit for You is food for the healthy lifestyle and is the first step in addressing changes in dietary preference on a daily basis. It provides guidelines for the integration of diet specific food for individual needs. The menu includes a variety of items such as poached cod, whole wheat home made organic pasta, grilled chicken breast with fruits, glazed salmon with organic brown rice and much more.

Both programs are designed to address healthy eating and dietary issues including low-fat, low-cholesterol and carb-conscious foods.

Marriott International is represented by three hotels in Jordan, the Amman Marriott Hotel, the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa and the Petra Marriott Hotel.
