Visitors to this month's Colours of Thailand festival will get the chance to win free flights from London to Bangkok thanks to the country's national carrier Thai Airways. A pair of return tickets will be offered as a competition prize at the event at London's Westfield Shopping Centre, from September 26-28.
The annual three-day celebration of all-things Thai aims to promote a better understanding of the country and its culture and will showcase an array of top quality crafts, cuisine, fashion and entertainment to tempt potential tourists.
The Royal Thai Embassy's Chelsea Flower Show display from earlier this year will also feature – including specimens from Thailand's famous Nong Nooch Tropical Garden.
The Colours of Thailand festival is organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in association with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thai Airways International, Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, the Office of Commercial Affairs and the Association of Thai Businesses in the UK.
More than 900,000 visitors travel to Thailand from Britain every year – making it one of Thailand's most important sources of tourism from within Europe.
The event's opening ceremony begins at 10am on September 26 with festivities running until 6pm on September 28. Entry is free to all visitors.
Could journalists wishing to attend the opening ceremony between 10am and 12 noon on Friday September 26 (when they can enter the draw for two free flights) please send your details to Mark Sowersby at Paul Gogarty Communications: msowersby@pgcomms.co.uk / 01603 706559.
