Upstairs Tour

Discover the world of the aristocracy with your Grandchildren at Blenheim Palace in the new Upstairs Tour. Explore the Guest Rooms, none of which have been open to the public before. Previous guests have included Queen Mary, King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson, as well as Cecil Beaton and Yves Saint Lauren. Visitors will also see family rooms such as the Blandford Bedroom, the Sunderland Dressing Room and Bachelors' Row in the tour which includes secret corridors, interlinking doors and spiral staircases.

Gifford's Circus

The famous family-run vintage circus returns to Blenheim Palace for hilarity and high jinx with dancing horses, dashing Dalmatians, live music and flying people. All the family will enjoy Gifford's favourites: jugglers Bibi & Bichu, Tweedy the clown and show stealer Brian the goose.

Blenheim Palace Flower Show

Encourage your grandchildren to get into gardening at the Blenheim Palace Flower Show. It will be opened by Sir Ian McKellan who will join visitors in celebrating the very best of gardening. The Grand Floral Pavilion will be full of the UK's finest nurseries and growers giving you expert advice and ideas for your garden. There will also be 250 stalls in the Shopping Village to enjoy.

Blenheim Palace Food Festival

Blenheim Palace Summer Jousting Tournament

Enjoy an exciting historical jousting tournament with the Knights of Arkley. Recreating the glorious jousting matches of Britain's 13th Century, knights will do battle in a daring display of bravery and skill. Watch a thrilling falconry display and see the birds of prey in action. Families can also have a go at archery and watch interactive dragon puppet shows.

'Capability' Brown Viewpoints Trail

Discover the new Viewpoints Trail at Blenheim Palace. Explore the Parkland with the downloadable map or pick up a trail guide at the Welcome Desk and find a series of specially-created boards, providing information on the incredible views and vistas created by Brown and his workmen between 1763 and 1774.

Blenheim Palace Train Rides

Perfect for your youngest grandchildren take the Blenheim Palace Train across the Park to the Pleasure Gardens. The Pleasure Gardens are specially designed for families with an Adventure Playground, Marlborough Maze, Butterfly House and Lavender Garden. Plus discover the Blenheim Bygone Exhibition too!

The train runs every 30 minutes daily between the Palace and Pleasure Gardens.

Lambing at Blenheim Palace

The 1550 Blenheim Ewes have crossed the Grand Bridge to their bursary paddocks ready to give birth to their little lambs. Take a walk through the 'Capability' Brown parkland and spot lambs frolicking as they begin to arrive. Lamb Buggy Tours are available and perfect fun for all the family.
