The Gruffalo & Tree Fu Tom at Blenheim Palace

Two very special visitors will be in Blenheim Palace's Pleasure Gardens this Easter. The Gruffalo will be appearing during meet and greet sessions at intervals whilst Tree Fu Tom will be performing a mini show, children can learn Tree Fu Magic and meet him too. Families can also meet the Easter Bunny and stilt walkers who join the exciting programme of Easter entertainment.

Easter Holiday Entertainment

There will be an abundance of themed fun in the Pleasure Gardens this Easter, with a Giant Easter Egg Hunt, vintage fun fair and lots of other family activities, including appearances for children's characters, Punch and Judy shows, face painting and more! Existing fun family activities at The Pleasure Gardens include the giant Marlborough Hedge Maze, Butterfly House and Adventure Playground.

'Capability' Brown Exhibition 

Celebrating the tercentenary of 'Capability' Brown the new exhibition features maps, plans, paintings, pictures, costumes and historic artefacts bringing the life of one of the world's most illustrious landscape designers. Among the highlights is a 10ft sized recreation of one of Brown's famous 'tree-moving machines' which has been painstakingly reconstructed by Blenheim Palace's own carpenters from a single surviving image.

Alongside specially-commissioned artworks featuring his most celebrated views, the exhibition also features drawings of the lake and dam under construction as well as a film by modern gardener Diarmuid Gavin reflecting on the influence of Brown's work at Blenheim Palace.

Horse & Carriage Rides 

Enjoy the Blenheim Palace Parkland from horse and carriage. Explore the 'Capability' Brown landscape as the landscape gardener would have seen it. Carriages hold up to four people and rides will last approximately 15 minutes. Bookings can be taken at Flagstaff Information Point.

'Capability' Brown Viewpoints Trail

Discover the new Viewpoints Trail at Blenheim Palace. Explore the Parkland with the downloadable map or pick up a trail guide at the Welcome Desk and find a series of specially-created boards, providing information on the incredible views and vistas created by Brown and his workmen between 1763 and 1774.
