The iconic black cab will be easy to spot, not just as an unfamiliar sight on Newmarket's streets, but for its smart new livery. It is emblazoned with Discover Newmarket's distinctive logo of a rearing horse as well as an eye-catching image of four inquistive thoroughbreds.

The stylish new runabout will offer door-to-door service for private tour bookings, with luxurious touches such as copies of the Racing Post and a glass of champagne to toast the start of your guided experience. The ex-Hackney Carriage will be ready to roll in time for Discover Newmarket's Race Day Tour at the July Festival 7th to 9th July. This very special day at the races begins with a visit to the famous gallops to see the horses exercising, the National Stud and behind-the-scenes tour of the racecourse, before an exciting afternoon of sporting action. Prices start at £110 per person, including a Buck's Fizz brunch and Premier with an additional one off fee of £50 for the private use of the cab.

The tour is just one of a variety of fascinating experiences designed by Discover Newmarket to suit everyone from racing fans to history lovers, with prices starting at £15 per person.

The London taxi was donated to Discover Newmarket by Newmarket Racehorse Transport and sponsored by Al Basti Equiworld, a key stakeholder of the organisation.
